What is the intake process?

 

A report is made to the Department of Social Services anonymously. To respond, DSS has three options.  DSS may investigate, refer to Community Based Prevention Services, or provide no services.

What is the role of Empowering Families?

 

Community Based Prevention Services can be a resource.  This voluntary program will provide free supportive services to your family, such as counseling, parenting classes, or job search amongst many other services. These services can help ease stressful situations, making it easier for you to focus on your children’s needs.
