In 2000, Anderson Youth Association became New Foundations Children & Family Services, Inc.  We continued under that name for almost 10 years until we reached back to our roots and officially changed our name to New Foundations Home for Children. Since our inception, thousands of children and families have been helped, not only through our Group Homes, but now also through our Foster Care and In-Home support services. 

As a testament to our mission New Foundations has continuously earned national accreditation through the Council on Accreditation for Children and Families (COA). Since 1995 we have engaged in COA in-depth reviews every four years. These reviews focus on our services, administration, and community Board oversight. The process takes 12-18 months and involves staff in every program and at all levels, our Board of Directors, and community stakeholders. We are relentless in our pursuit to keep children safe, strengthen families, and provide needed treatment interventions.  The staff and volunteers of New Foundations believe that this is the very framework by which the agency was built, and we will continue to do our part to honor so many that have dedicated their time, energy, and efforts in helping the children and families of South Carolina.  We will continue to be faithful to our mission to “Secure the Future for Children and Families…Whatever it Takes!”.
